Rant about parents

What kind of parent allows their child to be extremely overweight? This is one of my huge ass pet peeves! It's like giving your child a death sentence, making their life harder than it needs to be. Be the parent and not the friend and make lifestyle changes that the whole family can make so the child doesn't feel like he or she is being put on a diet. What a crappy way to start a childs life by allowing them to eat crap not exercise and go to school to be made fun of. There are so many more health issues with overweight children, let alone the mental health aspect of it. Its sad b/c most of the time the parents are overweight as well. It's all so easy to change diet and exercise!
